Managing Your Citations: View, Pay, or Appeal

Whether you need to review a violation, submit a payment, or dispute a charge, the Spot Parking platform provides a centralized hub to handle your citations quickly and transparently.

1. How to View Your Citations To see a history of your violations, log in to the Spot Parking app.
  • Navigate to the Citations section of your account dashboard.
  • Here, you will find a complete list of active and past citations linked to your vehicle or permit. Each record includes:
  • Violation type and description.
  • Date and timestamp.
  • Exact location (including map context).
  • Supporting evidence (such as photos taken at the time of the event).

2. Paying a Citation Payments are processed securely within our system to ensure your account status is updated immediately.
  1. Select the specific citation from your list.
  2. Tap or click Pay Now.
  3. Follow the secure checkout prompts to enter your payment information.
  4. Confirmation: Once finished, you will receive an instant digital receipt for your records, and the citation status will be marked as "Paid."

3. How to Appeal a Citation If you believe a citation was issued in error, you can submit an appeal directly through the platform.
  • Step 1: Open the citation detail page and select Appeal Citation.
  • Step 2: Provide a clear written explanation of why you are disputing the violation.
  • Step 3: Upload any supporting documentation, such as photos of signage, permits, or mechanical repair receipts.
  • Step 4: Submit. Our review team will evaluate your claim and notify you of the final decision via the app or email within the stated review timeframe.
Note: While a citation is "Under Appeal," its status will be frozen to prevent additional late fees from accruing during the review process.
